Jimmy D. Hynum

Jimmy D. Hynum passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 76. He was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Robert Barron and Velma Dunningan Hynum.

Jimmy was a hard worker. He was owner of a landscaping business serving several families and businesses in Vicksburg. Jimmy loved hunting and fishing, hanging out with the boys at the deer camp, and entertaining family and friends with crawfish boils. He was a member of Hyland Masonic Lodge #113.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Velma Hynum; sister, Barbara Stennett; brother, Johnnie Earl Hynum; son, Clif Hynum; and a great-grandchild.

Jimmy will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 34 years, Bradis Hynum; son, Robbie Hynum; stepsons, Alfred Savage (Darlene) and Mike Savage; grandchildren, Robert Hynum, Hunter Hynum, Hayden Hynum, Haley Craig, Kati Sebring, Cole Savage, Maggie Savage, Kira Anne Savage, and Kailee Rose Savage; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Jimmy will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025, at Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg.
