It was all smiles during Monday’s meeting of the Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen, where Downtown Main Street Executive Director Kim Hopkins passed out the trophies for this year’s Downtown Mardi Gras Parade float winners.
This year’s winners included: Best in Show: Bally’s Casino and Hotel; Best in Business: Golding Barge Line; Best Nonprofit: Krewe of Elks; Most Original: Krewe of De Hill; Rhythm and Beads Award: Pretty Pink Panthers; Most Enthusiastic: Omega Phi Fraternity Eta Tau Chapter; Best Recreational Club: The Dancin’ Grannies; Standing Ovation Award: Westside Theatre Foundation; Carnival Cavalry Award: American Legion Post 3; Best Throws: Krewe de la Burg.
