Laney Bull/Warren Central, Fr. — Solid freshman defender also had five goals and three assists for the Lady Vikes
Samantha Edwards/St. Aloysius, Sr. — Senior captain was on the MAIS All-Division II team ... scored a team-high six goals while leading the Lady Flashes to the MAIS Division II playoffs
Frances Ferrell/St. Aloysius, So. — Excellent all-around player scored five goals, played on the defensive end, and also played several games at keeper ... MAIS All-Division II selection
Sydney Hern/Warren Central, Sr. — Senior defender helped Warren Central reach the MHSAA Class 6A semifinals for the second year in a row
Melissa Herrle/Warren Central, Sr. — Senior midfielder had six goals and four assists from her midfield position
Amari Johnson/Vicksburg, Jr. — 2023 Player of the Year had another outstanding season, with 24 goals and 15 assists
Taryn Lusby/St. Aloysius, Jr. — Junior co-captain anchored St. Al’s defense and was an MAIS All-Division II selection
Reese Lyons/St. Aloysius, 7th — First-year varsity player for the Lady Flashes was a strong player on the defensive back line
Allie Mason/Warren Central, Fr. — Two-year starter scored eight goals and had four assists
Trinity McGloster/Vicksburg, Sr. — Six-year starter for the Missy Gators scored 20 goals and assisted on 18 more ... finished her high school career with 83 goals
Anna Kate McKnight/St. Aloysius, 8th — Young midfielder scored two goals and assisted on several more
Lynlee McMillian/St. Aloysius, 7th — Versatile player moved all over the formation, on offense and defense, and scored two goals
Mary Ruth Montgomery/St. Aloysius, 7th — Defender helped anchor the Lady Flashes’ back line, and also scored three goals
Kennedy Mullins/Vicksburg, Sr. — Excellent scorer and distributor from the midfield position totaled 14 goals and 15 assists
Audrey Grace Newman/St. Aloysius, So. — Sophomore midfielder showed steady improvement and scored two goals
Leah O’Bryant/Vicksburg, So. — All-around contributor for the Missy Gators, with six goals and five assists as well as solid defense
Hayleigh Simmons/Warren Central, Sr. — Senior goal keeper had five shutouts and 54 saves while helping the Lady Vikes reach the MHSAA Class 6A semifinals
Sara Smith/St. Aloysius, 8th — Two-year starter at keeper had three shutouts and helped the Lady Flashes reach the MAIS Division II playoffs
Brooke Steed/Warren Central, Jr. — Good offensive player was second on the team with 11 goals ... also had four assists
Lexi Whittington/Porter’s Chapel, Jr. — First-year player on Porter’s Chapel’s co-ed team held her own against the boys on defense, and was a good passer on offense
Each year, The Vicksburg Post selects the top local athletes in a number of sports for its All-County teams. Fifteen players were selected for the 2025 girls’ All-County soccer team, led by Player of the Year Jordan Polk of Warren Central.
Polk a junior, led Warren County and set a single-season school record with 26 goals. She also had 14 assists to lead the Lady Vikes to their second consecutive MHSAA Region 2-6A championship. Warren Central finished with an 18-6-1 record and also reached the Class 6A semifinals for the second year in a row.
In five varsity seasons, Polk has scored 79 goals. She also has 30 assists over the past three seasons.
Warren Central boys coach Greg Head was selected as the Co-Coach of the Year, along with WC girls’ coach Jeremy Lawrence. Warren Central’s Jacob Porter is the boys’ Player of the Year.
The other All-County players represented their schools — Vicksburg, Warren Central, St. Aloysius and Porter’s Chapel Academy — well. Congratulations to all of them!
