Each year, The Vicksburg Post selects the top local athletes in a number of sports for its All-County teams. Fifteen players were selected for the 2025 boys’ All-County soccer team, led by Player of the Year Jacob Porter of Warren Central.
Porter, a sophomore, led Warren County with 26 goals and also had six assists to power the Vikings to their second consecutive MHSAA Region 2-6A championship. Warren Central finished with an 18-3-1 record and also reached the Class 6A semifinals for the second year in a row.
Warren Central boys coach Greg Head was also selected as the Co-Coach of the Year, along with WC girls’ coach Jeremy Lawrence. Warren Central’s Jordan Polk is the girls’ Player of the Year.
The other All-County players represented their schools — Vicksburg, Warren Central, St. Aloysius and Porter’s Chapel Academy — well. Congratulations to all of them!
