Vicksburg man arraigned on felony marijuana charge; investigation ongoing

A Vicksburg man was arraigned Tuesday in Vicksburg Municipal Court on a charge of felony possession of marijuana.

Vicksburg Chief of Police Penny Jones said Tayvion Pope’s bond was set at $15,000 in relation to a charge stemming from a March 11 incident on Jefferson Street.

Jones said two other unnamed individuals have also been arrested in connection with the incident, adding the investigation remains active and more details will be released at the appropriate time.
