The local skeet club gave an all-day shoot with Morrell Feltus and Hunter White making 23 out of 25.

Local Boy Scouts executive Bill Lowe announced plans for the Boy Scout Camporee at City Park. 

70 YEARS AGO: 1955

John Halpin was named chairman of the Warren County Polio Board. Mr. and Mrs. John A. McCall were visiting their son in Texas. 

60 YEARS AGO: 1965

Louis Worthy died. • J.E. Holt was honored on his 84th birthday.

50 YEARS AGO: 1975

Ruby Charping narrowly escaped when her home was destroyed by fire. • Mrs. Sarah Heath died. 

40 YEARS AGO: 1985

Mrs. Helen Kemper Purks died. • Ashley Nicole Powers celebrated her first birthday. 

30 YEARS AGO: 1995

Members of the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary distributed 500 bicycles at the Kings Head Start Center. 

20 YEARS AGO: 2005

The number of gasoline drive-offs was increasing as the price of gas rose to nearly $2 a gallon. 

10 YEARS AGO: 2015

It was announced the Knights of Columbus would hold its fifth annual March for Life March 28.
