William Harold Blue Jr. completed his earthly life Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Harold was born in Vicksburg October 27, 1939, and spent his 86 years here. He was predeceased by his parents, Clellon and Harold Blue Sr. and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Jean and his sister-in-law, Sarah Johnson.
Harold began a lifelong banking career at First National Bank, retiring from Trustmark Bank in 2002. He was a graduate of Carr Central High School and received degrees from Mississippi State University and the LSU School of Banking.
Harold was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon, was a member of the Men’s Bible Study, Men’s Sunday School Class and a small group Bible Study.
He served his community as a past president of Jaycees, treasurer of the Warren County Heart Association, a volunteer at the Salvation Army diner and a member of the Rotary Club.
Harold was graced with loving family and faithful friends who were especially comforting to him during his illness and confinement. He was grateful for compassionate care from the Gentiva Hospice staff and companions from 24/7 caregivers.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church Tuesday, March 25, at 2 p.m., with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. There will be a private burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
