It was the third win in four games for Vicksburg (3-9), after it won two of three at its Cancer Strikeout tournament last Saturday.

Harris and Makynzie Dunmore each hit RBI singles in the fourth inning to put the Missy Gators ahead 3-0, and then they put it away with four runs in the top of the seventh.

Five consecutive batters reached base, including RBI singles by Harris and Zion Harvey. Lockridge drew a bases-loaded walk and Lili Kistler drove in a run with a ground out that made it 7-1.

Kistler also turned in her second straight quality start in the pitcher’s circle. She allowed eight hits and three walks, but only one run while striking out three.

In her last two outings, Kistler has allowed two runs in 12 innings.

Vicksburg’s home game scheduled for Saturday against Columbus has been changed to a doubleheader on April 12 at noon because of the school’s prom. It will next play on Monday at Ridgeland, with the junior varsity game starting at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 6.
