The City of Vicksburg during Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) presented certificates of appreciation to 10 city employees across eight departments for a combined 100 years of service.
Employees recognized included: Robert Scott for one year of service to the Vicksburg Police Department; City Attorney Lee Thames for one year of service to the legal department; Vonnae Simmons for one year of service to court services; Jacob Jenkins for one year of service to the Vicksburg Fire Department; Cobey Ross for one year of service to the sewer department; Christopher Scallions for five years of service to the Vicksburg Police Department; James Johnson for five years of service to the community service department; Tasha Jordan for 25 years of service to the city clerk’s office; Johnnie Edwards for 25 years of service to the Vicksburg Police Department; and Lee Moore for 35 years of service to the cemetery department.
