The City of Vicksburg, in partnership with the Warren County Emergency Management Agency and the Warren County Board of Supervisors, has announced the activation of the new Hyper-Reach community alerting system, which will replace the previous Code-Red system. This enhanced notification platform will ensure residents receive timely and accurate emergency alerts and information, City of Vicksburg officials said.

A news conference will be held to officially introduce the Hyper-Reach system and discuss its features and benefits for the community. The event is scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 9, at 10 a.m. at the Warren County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located in the basement of the Warren County Courthouse, 1009 Cherry St., in Vicksburg.

Officials said the Hyper-Reach conversion is the result of continued efforts by the partnering agencies to improve public safety communications for all residents in the area.
