Students from Vicksburg High School (VHS), Warren Central High School and River City Early College took part in the Vicksburg Warren School District’s (VWSD) first athletic career fair Tuesday from 9 a.m. until noon on the VHS campus. 

VWSD officials said the inaugural event brought together professionals in athletic careers from across the area, including from Jackson State University, The Vicksburg Post and Eaves Law Firm, among others.

James Lewis, VWSD director of athletics and activities, said the “groundbreaking experience” allowed students to have one-on-one dialogue with businesses and professionals in the industry, providing invaluable insight into possible career fields and avenues of study in college.
