Deborah Steed Patton, 65, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank Patton; her son, Scott Talmadge Patton; her grandson, John Talmadge Patton; her mother, Dossy Steed; and her sister, Melissa Orgeron. She was preceded in death by her son, John Douglas Sanderson, and her father, Talmadge Steed.

Deborah grew up in Vicksburg. She graduated from Warren Central High School and moved to the Jackson area to work and later retire from the Mississippi State Department of Rehab Services. Deborah was an amazing human being, with the unique ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and welcome. Her kindness and compassion for all living things shined through in everything she did. She had a great sense of humor, and instinctively knew how to make people laugh. She saw the world in color and brought that color to everyone she encountered. Her great capacity to love will live on through her family and friends that she touched in so many ways. Her sincere belief is that earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., then again Saturday April 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Ott and Lee at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rankin County Animal Shelter at 710 Marquette Road, Brandon, MS 39042.
