Local first responders were treated to a meal Wednesday by members of Vicksburg’s Shady Lawn Health and Rehabilitation as a thank you for all they do to keep Vicksburg and Warren County safe.

Shady Lawn Facility Nurse Educator Jenn McDaniel said the “grab-n-go” lunches were a simple, but effective way to thank first responders for the job they do day-in and day-out, and often without any fanfare.

McDaniel said the drive-through stayed busy on a sunny but windy day Wednesday at the facility on Shady Lawn Place, just off Porter’s Chapel Road.
