Mrs. G.O. McIntyre of St. Louis was in Warren County visiting Mrs. D.A. Graham.

The Garden Club Pilgrimage tours came to a successful conclusion. 

80 YEARS AGO: 1945

H.V. Cooper spoke at the support meeting of the Y’s Men’s Club. • Lt Grady Leese, a bomber pilot, received the Air Medal for meritorious achievement. 

70 YEARS AGO: 1955

Services were held for Mrs. Josephine Mason.  • George Joyce Sr. died.  • Beth O’Neil and Frances Fitz-Hugh were home from Millsaps for the Easter holiday.  

60 YEARS AGO: 1965

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Case announced the birth of a son, Gerald Jr., on March 30.

50 YEARS AGO: 1975

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Day and family of Albuquerque visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert  McGuffie Jr. 

40 YEARS AGO: 1985

Charles Thomas Renfroe died. • Winners in the Pemberton Square baby pageant were Melanie Nicole LaCaze, Reena Patel and Sparkle Burks. 

30 YEARS AGO: 1995

Daniel Boone hung a painting in the Firehouse Gallery in preparation for the Vicksburg Art Association’s spring show. 

20 YEARS AGO: 2005

A candidate’s forum was held in Vicksburg to allow voters to hear from those running for local public office.

10 YEARS AGO: 2015

More than 100 people showed up in Port Gibson to march in protest of the investigation into the death of Otis Byrd.
