Hattiesburg artist Andrea Kostyal has spent a lot of time in the River City in 2025 after beginning mural projects in Gordon’s Alley in downtown in January.

Friday morning, she was at it again, working on a lift in order to reach the top portion of her biggest mural so far. 

Kostyal said she’s enjoyed her time in Vicksburg, which is a good thing, she added, since weather conditions are keeping her from giving a definite timeline of completion for her work.

In the meantime, locals and visitors alike can watch the alley transform as Kostyal’s work slowly covers the outside walls of the adjacent structures.
