Tallulah Academy baseball pitcher J.T. McDaniel had 13 strikeouts in six innings, and also hit a solo home run in a 9-2 victory over River Oaks on Thursday.

McDaniel combined with teammate Luke Moberley on a no-hitter.

For the season, McDaniel has a 4-2 record as a pitcher with a 3.81 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings. As a hitter the sophomore is batting .523 with four home runs, 19 RBIs and 27 runs scored in 19 games.
