Sheann Anthony Taylor Sr., 36, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in his hometown. Born Dec. 22, 1988, in Vicksburg, Sheann remained closely connected to the community throughout his life.

A proud veteran, Sheann served six years in the Army National Guard. After completing his military service, Sheann worked in restaurant, hotel, and gaming until he began working at International Paper in 2018 and remained a valued employee until his passing.

Sheann’s life was centered around those he loved and those who loved him. He is remembered by his mother, Kathleen S. Taylor; his father, Anthony C. (Natasha W.) Bennett Sr.; and his high school sweetheart and fiancée, Felicia M. White. He leaves behind five beautiful children, including daughters, Sheania A. Taylor, Fallon F. Taylor, Alyssa E. Taylor, Serenity A. Taylor and son, Sheann A. Taylor Jr.

He is also remembered by his siblings, Anthony C. Bennett Jr., Taylor J. Bennett, Antonio Mayfield, Malaurie A. Bennett, Ashton C. Bennett, and Natalie N. Bennett.

Sheann was deeply cherished by his grandmothers, Anester Hall (maternal), Pattie T. Horne (paternal), and Janice R. Bennett (paternal). He now joins in rest his grandfathers, John L. Taylor (maternal), E. Carl Bennett (paternal), and Carl Horne (paternal), who preceded him in death.

A funeral service honoring Sheann’s life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church, 718 Bowmar Ave., Vicksburg, Mississippi 39180. The service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and at the church on Saturday from noon until the hour of service.
