Funeral services for Dale Knight Maxwell are to be held Saturday, April 19, in the Cool Springs M.B. Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 18, in the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.
Dale Knight Maxwell passed away Sunday, April 13, following a brief illness. He was 88. He was the owner operator of Maxwell’s Landing in the Eagle Lake community where he was a fixture of the community. He worked as a pipefitter for International Paper Co. and was a member of the Cool Springs M.B. Church pastored by his nephew, the Rev. Byron Maxwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Ambrose Maxwell and Beulah Davis Maxwell; his brothers, Richard Maxwell and Milton Maxwell; his sisters, Dorothy Booze, Maxine Bunch, Delores Faye Bosley and Thelma Irene Maxwell Warren.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Culbert Maxwell; his son, Roderick Maxwell; his daughter, Carol Maxwell; his brother, Don Maxwell; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
