The Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) announced Wednesday morning that Vicksburg High School will be closed for the day (April 16) due to a power outage.

VWSD officials said a partial power outage is affecting “critical” areas of the building, adding staff is still expected to report to work as scheduled and instructional planning and professional development activities will proceed on-site where unaffected areas of the school remain operation.

VWSD said parents and guardians may reach out to the district’s official communication channels for more information and updates.
