She also finished second in the 200 meters and third in the 400.
Camden McGloster, an eighth-grade second baseman with Vicksburg High’s softball team, was 3-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored in two wins last week. She singled in the go-ahead run in a 7-4 win over Warren Central that was Vicksburg’s first win over its crosstown rival since 2012.
Tyler Hatler, a senior with Porter’s Chapel Academy’s boys’ track and field team, won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters with times of 6:10.53 and 12:01.27, respectively, and finished second in the 800 meters to help PCA win the team title at the MAIS District 4-3A meet on April 15.
Brady Taylor and Gray Lampkin, members of Warren Central’s tennis team, reached the MHSAA Class 6A boys doubles championship match on April 16. The duo won five consecutive postseason matches before losing in the state finals.
