The Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) has announced it will again offer free meals (breakfast and lunch) this summer to pre-registered children ages 0 to 18 in Warren County.

As an open site, meals will be available for pick up each Monday through Friday beginning Monday, June 2, and lasting through Friday, June 27.

VWSD officials said breakfast service hours will be from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m., while lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. daily. Additionally, starting this year, VWSD will be resuming regular operations as an open site for meal pick up only at any of the VWSD locations listed below. The bus delivery of summer meals to the community has been discontinued for the summer feeding program.

Pick-up locations include: Beechwood Elementary School, 999 MS-27; Dana Road Elementary/Vicksburg Intermediate Schools, 1245 Dana Road; and  Warren Central Junior High School, 1630 Rosa A. Temple Drive.

VWSD officials said children must be present to receive meals. The meals will be packaged for grab-and-go take out; however, students are permitted to eat on site with their adult’s supervision, if desired.
