Two years ago, WJTV’s Walt Grayson and Ken South featured Vicksburg on one of the “Your Hometown” series. The two broadcasters will be returning Friday, and once again locals are encouraged to come out and show their Vicksburg spirit. The broadcasting will begin at 3:30 p.m. with interviews at Key City Brewery and Eatery.

“We are so excited to welcome WJTV back to Vicksburg and show off our community spirit,” Visit Vicksburg Executive Director Laura Beth Strickland said. “Walt Grayson really wanted to come back to Vicksburg and show off our Bicentennial Celebration and the next pillar event is on Saturday, April 26, which also coincides with many of our favorite spring events,” Strickland said.

Over the next week, Strickland said, WJTV producers and videographers will also be filming spots for the special “Your Hometown.” On Saturday, the bicentennial event will feature a Music and Cultural Festival that will showcase local performers. There will also be guest speakers and a fashion show. Events will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Vicksburg.
