Vicksburg High baseball player Allan Allen has been selected to play in the 2025 Prep Baseball Mississippi Magnolia State Games all-star game June 17-18 in Ridgeland.

Allen, a sophomore shortstop, is batting .344 this season, with 11 RBIs, 12 runs scored and 10 stolen bases. He also has 27 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings pitched.

Allen and his VHS teammates will face Saltillo in a first-round MHSAA Class 6A playoff series this weekend. Game 1 of the best-of-three series is Friday in Saltillo, Game 2 is Saturday at VHS’ Showers Field, and if Game 3 is needed it will be Monday at Saltillo. All three games will begin at 6 p.m.
