H.H. Dashiell completed an NRA survey in Warren County. • Dorothy Sue Pugh of Dodsville was in Vicksburg visiting Nellie Mae Woodrick.

Mrs. Mittie Stephens of Yokena was ill at the Vicksburg Hospital. • The Vicksburg Evening Post reported the Nazis had given up in Italy.

Mississippi Jycees began their convention in Vicksburg. • Frank Williams Sr. died.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Mary Upshaw.
