From annual favorites to once-in-a-lifetime events, and everything in between, there was no shortage of fun to be had last weekend in Vicksburg.
Locals and visitors alike took advantage of the nice weather Saturday at the annual Old Courthouse Museum Spring Flea Market, while just down the street, the remainder of downtown was alive with music and other activities celebrating the city’s bicentennial with a Music and Culture Festival. Along with artists and local shopping, more than a dozen musical acts performed on stages at Washington Street Park at Gordon’s Alley.
Adding to the outdoor events was the Key City Classic run and walk, the Vicksburg Art Association’s Spring Exhibition and the 20th anniversary of the first Miss Mississippi’s Teen being crowned in the River City was celebrated as Miss Madison County’s Teen took home the 2025 title.
Topping it all off, the Vicksburg Convention Center hosted the 43rd Annual Alcorn State Jazz Festival, adding an extra bit of excitement to an already jam-packed weekend in the River City.
