Local leaders gathered on the steps of Vicksburg City Hall Thursday for the 2025 National Day of Prayer.

Praying publicly for specific areas of life, including the nation, state, city, churches, servicemen, educators and parents and youth, a host of local pastors and other dignitaries prayed under this year’s theme of Pour Out to the God of Hope and Be Filled.

“We all need this day,” Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. said. “The Bible tells us that we should always pray.”
