Vicksburg mayoral candidate Willis Thompson will host a Get Out the Vote rally Saturday and is inviting the public to attend.

The rally will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Watermark, located at 1415 Washington St. in  downtown Vicksburg.

“This high-energy event will feature free food, live music, and an opportunity to connect directly with Willis Thompson as he shares his vision for improving Vicksburg,” Thompson’s teams said. “Community members are encouraged to come out, bring a friend, and learn more about Thompson’s plans to move the city forward.”

Thompson himself said the rally is about unity and the sharing of mutually beneficial information.

“We’re building a campaign powered by the people,” he said. “This rally is a chance to come together, celebrate our community, discuss the issues, and energize voters as we head into the final stretch.”

Thompson said the event is open to the public and no RSVP is required.
