Vicksburg High track and field athlete Jayden Woods won the MHSAA Class 6A North State championship in the boys’ discus with a throw of 127 feet, 11 inches.

Woods and nearly two dozen other athletes from Vicksburg High and Warren Central will compete in the Class 6A state meet Saturday, May 3, at Pearl High School. Field events begin at 11 a.m. and running events at 3 p.m.
