As the upcoming Vicksburg municipal election on June 3 nears, a candidates’ forum has been scheduled to take place Monday at 7 p.m. live on V105.5 FM Vicksburg and Newstalk 107.7 FM WVBG and livestreamed at vicksburgradio.com.

Partnering with The Vicksburg Post, WVBG will host incumbents Mayor George Flaggs Jr. and Ward 2 Alderman Alex Monsour, as well as Ward 2 challenger Vickie Bailey and mayoral challengers Willis Thompson and Kasman Massey.

The forum will discuss an array of topics, including candidates’ platforms, issues such as crime and blight and other topics central to candidates’ campaigns. WVBG Owner and General Manager Mark Jones and The Vicksburg Post General Manager and Executive Editor Blake Bell will host Monday’s forum.
