Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. has announced he will hold a crawfish boil campaign event Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at River City Cigar & Brew, 1990 South Frontage Road.
Flaggs said the free event is open to the public and residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for an evening of food, fellowship, and fun in support of Flaggs’ re-election campaign ahead of the municipal election June 3.
“This campaign is all about the people of Vicksburg,” Flaggs said. “I want voters to not only enjoy themselves, but to hear about the vision I have for both the future of our city and the next generation. It’s about creating opportunity, not just for today, but for tomorrow too. What better way to do that than over good food and good conversation?”
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Flaggs, hear about his plans for the next term, and enjoy fresh crawfish and great company in a laid-back atmosphere, he said.
For more information, Flaggs may be reached by phone at 601-942-0492. More information may also be found on his campaign’s Facebook page.
