The City of Vicksburg is beginning a citywide mass meter-changeout project to upgrade water meters and improve utility service for all residents, city officials have announced.
Over the coming months, authorized workers will visit properties across the city to install modern, more efficient water meters.
“This project is part of an ongoing effort to enhance service reliability and operational efficiency,” city officials said in a statement. “The changeout process will take several months to complete, and residents are asked for their understanding and cooperation throughout the duration of the project.”
Residents do not need to schedule an appointment; installation teams will arrive during regular working hours and will be clearly identified as authorized contractors for the City of Vicksburg.
For questions or additional information, residents may call the Water and Gas Administration at 601-636-3414, or the Service Department at 601-636-1096.
