Dozens of people came to City Pool on Wednesday to register their children for the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program. The program provides low-cost swim lessons for children and adults in Vicksburg.
Classes are held in June and July, but registration is going on this week. Registration is at the pavilion at City Pool on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
The cost for each two week session is $15 and is payable by cash or check only. Registration must be done in person, and because of limited space and high demand — especially for the beginner and children’s classes — early registration is encouraged.
