Porter’s Chapel Academy’s Evan Gordon was selected to play in the MAIS Class 2A/3A baseball all-star game Monday, May 19, at Mississippi College.

Gordon, a senior shortstop, will hit three doubles and scored 13 runs from the leadoff spot this season. He also pitched 23 1/3 innings and had 23 strikeouts.

In addition to Gordon, Tallulah Academy’s J.T. McDaniel will play in the Class 2A/3A/4A Futures Game for rising sophomores and juniors.

Briarfield Academy’s Brock Johnson and Ryder Jones will play in the Class 2A/3A All-Star Game, and Davis Holt will play in the Futures Game.

The Class 2A/3A All-Star Game will begin at 10 a.m. and the 2A/3A/4A Futures Game at 1 p.m. The Class 4A/5A/6A All-Star Game follows at 4 p.m., and the 5A/6A Futures Game at 7.
