Who’s Hot: Carson Smith

Carson Smith was named the DeMichael Harris Male Athlete of the Year at St. Aloysius’ athletic awards banquet. Smith played football and baseball for the Flashes.

Smith, a senior, was a three-year starter at quarterback and defensive back for St. Al’s football team.

In baseball, Smith was a shortstop and pitcher. He batted .386 with nine doubles, 30 RBIs, 31 runs scored and 26 stolen bases. On the mound he pitched 18 1/3 innings and had 17 strikeouts.

He was named the Offensive MVP for both the football and baseball teams in addition to his overall Male Athlete of the Year award.
