A man wanted by the Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) and arrested Tuesday for aggravated domestic violence made his initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday.
David Evans, 38, was wanted by VPD, the Mississippi Department of Corrections and law enforcement agencies in Texas. He was considered armed and dangerous.
Chief of Police Penny Jones said the latest charge is not Evans’ first, and VPD was actively searching for him prior to this week’s arrest.
Vicksburg Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter set Evans’ bond at $275,000.
