A man wanted for armed robbery and apprehended this week by the Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) made his initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday.

Darius Lattrell Wheeler, 21, was taken into custody Monday for armed robbery. Chief of Police Penny Jones said, at the time of his arrest, Wheeler was out on bond for the same charge.

Vicksburg Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter set Wheeler’s bond at $50,000.
