The juvenile pupils of SFXA gave a recital.

Pfc. William Burks returned after his discharge from the U.S. Army at Camp Shelby.

T.J. Lawrence qualified for re-election to the 9th Judicial District office of district attorney. 

60 YEARS AGO: 1965

Marie Tucker was honored with a reception after 51 years of service in the Vicksburg Public Schools. 

50 YEARS AGO: 1975

Mr. and Mrs. Glan Gupta announced the birth of a daughter, Amrita, on May 22.

40 YEARS AGO: 1985

Mrs. Gertrude Pope Hullman died. 

30 YEARS AGO: 1995

Storm doors were installed on apartments managed by the Vicksburg Housing Authority and Urban Court and Rolling Acres.

20 YEARS AGO: 2005

Dawn Lee and Garey Womble, owners of the Cross Roads Store, were married at the location.

10 YEARS AGO: 2015

Two county roads were still closed after a strong storm blew through the area.
