St. Aloysius High School recently graduated its class of 2025.
Caleb Stewart is the valedictorian and Samantha Edwards is the salutatorian.
Stewart made remarks at the graduation ceremony.
“The main point of my speech was that time doesn’t stop and it is important to make every moment count,” he said.
Stewart said he is optimistic about the potential of the graduating class.
“I am excited to see what the class of 2025 will accomplish in the future because I know we will all go on to do incredible things.”
Stewart is the son of Michael and Chelsea Stewart. He will be studying computer science at Mississippi State University.
Salutatorian Samantha Edwards also spoke at graduation. She said she thanked those who dedicated their time and energy to educating the graduating class.
“It’s been a long journey from kindergarten to twelfth grade. We learned many lessons over the years, and I thanked the teachers and families for instilling us with values and pouring their love into us,” she said. “The Class of 2025 has achieved so much, and I am so proud to be a part of it. Now it is our chance to decide who we want to be and take the first steps towards that task.”
Edwards is also optimistic about her graduating class.
“My class has a very bright future,” she said. “They are resilient, full of individuality, and will achieve so much. I am very proud to be a part of it and can’t wait to see what they do next.”
Edwards is the daughter of Lulu and Micael Edwards. She plans to go to Mississippi State and major in mechanical engineering.
