Vicksburg Mayoral Candidate Thompson turns in campaign finance report

Mayoral candidate Willis Thompson turned in his campaign finance report for the June 3 municipal election Wednesday morning at the Vicksburg city clerk’s office.

Thompson missed the deadline for turning in the report, which was due to the city clerk’s office Tuesday, May 27 at 5 p.m. The reports are the second round filed by incumbents and the first for municipal challengers. Other candidates in the race turned in reports by the Tuesday deadline.

Thompson reported a total of $20,750 in itemized contributions and $7,932 in non-itemized contributions for a total of $28,682. Thompson also reported $16,311.79 in itemized disbursements, as well as $1,420.31 in non-itemized disbursements, for a total of $17,732.10, leaving his campaign with a total of $10, 949.90 in cash on hand.
