The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is actively pursuing a 15-year-old suspect wanted for questioning in regard to a shooting Thursday morning on Heartwood Drive.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said deputies responded to the scene in the 500 block of Heartwood Drive, just east of the Vicksburg city limits off Highway 80, at approximately 9:30 a.m., where they found a 33-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

Pace said the victim identified a 15-year-old relative as the shooter.

The victim was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment.
