At the end of each high school sports season, The Vicksburg Post honors Warren County’s best athletes in a number of sports with its All-County teams.
The 2025 All-County track and field team features 32 of the area’s top athletes from Warren Central, Vicksburg High, St. Aloysius and Porter’s Chapel Academy. All of them reached the state meet in their respective classifications in the MHSAA and MAIS, and six combined to win state championships.
The All-County girls’ team is led by sprinters Amiyah Hall of Vicksburg High and Adria Burrell of Warren Central as the co-Athletes of the Year.
The sophomore Hall won the MHSAA Class 6A championship in the 200 meters, and finished second in the 100 and 4×200 meter relay. Burrell, a West Alabama signee, won the Class 6A title in the 100 meters, and finished second in the 200 and 400 meters.
In 14 head-to-head match-ups in the 100 and 200 meters this season, Hall and Burrell finished first and second — in some order — 10 times. Each won seven times.
Congratulations to all on a great season!
