City of Vicksburg offers election day tips, helpline

The City of Vicksburg is reaching out to residents as election day arrives Tuesday, June 3, with tips for making it to the polls safely, as well as a helpline for any voters with questions about the election process.
The City of Vicksburg will hold municipal office elections Tuesday, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the
city. The offices of mayor and aldermen for wards 1 and 2 (Ward 1 Alderman TJ Mayfield is running unopposed) will appear on Tuesday’s ballots.
“Your vote matters,” City of Vicksburg officials said. “This election is an important opportunity to help shape the future of our community. All eligible voters are encouraged to participate.”
For questions or to find the correct polling location, residents may contact the City of Vicksburg Election Commission at 601-802-0632. The election commission is responsible for administering municipal elections and assisting voters with election-related
inquiries.
Additionally, officials said drivers are urged to use caution near polling places throughout the day and to be aware of increased traffic and pedestrian activity.
