Leo Koestley and May Tiller were married. 

80 YEARS AGO: 1945

The Lions Club visited the LeTourneau plant for a luncheon and inspection of the industrial establishment. 

70 YEARS AGO: 1955

Services were held for James K. Cagle, a young Vicksburg resident who was killed in an automobile accident near Columbus, Mississippi. 

60 YEARS AGO: 1965

Services were held for Mrs. Rose L. Redditt.

50 YEARS AGO: 1975

Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Wardlaw announced the birth of a son, Bryan Christopher, on June 3.

40 YEARS AGO: 1985

Sister Mary Florence Quinn died. 

30 YEARS AGO: 1995

Honored as Civitans’ Lawmen of the Year were Deputy Johnny Beauchamp of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Leroy Williams of the Vicksburg Police Department and Trooper Walter Armstrong of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

20 YEARS AGO: 2005

Local officials were working to fix an array of issues at Green Acres Memorial Park.

10 YEARS AGO: 2015

A shootout on Buena Vista Drive was said to have been the result of an illegal, high-stakes dice game.
