Three U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) organizations headquartered in Vicksburg will host a ceremony marking the USACE’s 250th Anniversary on Wednesday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. The commemorative event will take place at Washington Street Park in downtown Vicksburg and is open to the public. Patriotic music will be performed by the 41st Army Band of the Mississippi Army National Guard.

This milestone celebration is a collaborative effort by the USACE Mississippi Valley Division, the Engineer Research and Development Center, and the Vicksburg District. This commemoration will highlight the many contributions of U.S. Army Engineers—past, present, and future—and strengthen partnership with key stakeholders.
