The Vicksburg Fire Department responded to an early morning structure fire.

“At around 4:40 a.m., the Vicksburg Fire Department was dispatched to 1411 Division St. in response to a reported structure fire,” VFD Chief Derrick Stamps said. “When firefighters arrived, they observed smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure. Crews launched an interior attack and swiftly extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.”

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Vicksburg Post will update this story as more information becomes available.
