VPD investigating credit card fraud at Home Depot

The Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) is investigating a credit card fraud incident that occurred at the Home Depot located at 50 Halls Ferry Road.

“On Thursday, May 22, 2025, officers were dispatched to the store’s Asset Protection Office after a report of fraudulent credit card transactions,” VPD officials said in a statement. “The investigation revealed that an unknown male suspect made multiple unauthorized purchases using credit card information that had been entered manually, without a physical card being present.”

VPD said the suspect is described as a Black male wearing eyeglasses, a gray shirt, gray shorts, and a gray cap. He was last seen entering a dark-colored SUV and leaving the area at approximately 4:18 p.m.

A BOLO (Be on the Lookout) alert has been issued and a still image of the suspect is available. 

The VPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this individual. Anyone with information is urged to contact the VPD at 601-636-2511 or Crime Stoppers at (601) 355-TIPS.
