Who’s Hot: Titus Williams

Vicksburg YMCA Cannonballs swimmer Titus Williams won the 9-10-year-olds’ boys’ 50 yard freestyle, the 25 backstroke, and the 25 breaststroke, as well as the 100 yard freestyle and medley relays in a Jackson Swim Association meet against the Fitlife Flippers on Monday.

Williams won the 50 yard freestyle in 36.90 seconds; the 25 backstroke in 20.53; and the 25 breaststroke in 25.57;

He was on the winning 100 yard freestyle relay with Yadier Cruz, Noah Corley and Soren Wiedenfeld; and the winning 100 yard medley relay with Cruz, Wiedenfeld and Jack Dornbusch.

Monday’s meet was the only one at home for the Cannonballs during the Jackson Swim Association’s month-long season. The team will compete in the JSA’s City Swim Meet on June 28 at 8:30 a.m. at the Grit Training Center on Lakeland Drive in Flowood.
