Funeral services for Ethel Mae Williams Yarrington are to be held Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m. in the Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, in the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.

Ethel Mae Williams Yarrington went to be with the Lord Friday, June 13, at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was 81. She worked as a teacher’s aide and was a member of Triumphant Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Carson.

She is survived by her son, Adrian Yarrington; her daughters, Lisa Yarrington and Valda Yarrington; her mother, Dorothy Carson; her brothers, Malcom Carson, A.J. Carson, and Cliff Jeffries; her sister, Joslyn Ferguson; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
