Vicksburg High quarterback Jamikal Maxey threw 31 touchdown passes and led the Gators to a 20-5 record in their 7-on-7 football games in June.

Last season, Maxey completed 74 of 158 passes for 969 yards and five touchdowns with the Gators. Vicksburg will host Clinton in a preseason scrimmage game on Aug. 22, and will open the 2025 regular season Aug. 29 at Natchez.
