Ruddie Mae Walker-Kaiser

Ruddie Mae Walker-Kaiser died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 60.

Mrs. Walker-Kaiser was a former employee of Cooper Lighting and ASCI (Waterways Experiment Station). She was a graduate of Temple High School Class of 1972. She received a bachelor’s degree from Alcorn State University in psychology and elementary education, and was a member of Trinity Temple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Clara Walker; one sister, Annie Laura Prince; and one grandson, Sean Michael Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Lee Kaiser of Vicksburg; one brother, Paul Alexander of Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters, Shannon Parson, Stacey Lee, Ruddie Shears and a foster child she reared as a daughter, LaKeisha Shears, all of Vicksburg; four sons, Jason Walker and Christopher Brown, both of Vicksburg, Roderick Walker of Fort Worth, Texas, and Brian Walker of Rantoul, Ill.; an aunt; one godchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1  p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Archer officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation is Friday July 3, 2015, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
